This is the first of an expanding free collection of Ableton Meta Sound files.
If you don't know what these files are, they are covered in great detail in our articles on AMS files. But to save you some time: AMS files are short Waveforms that can be created as text files manually or with the Operator which can then be loaded into Sampler or Simpler as samples.
In the coming weeks we will have a few articles about subjects like Aliasing and some tips on how to turn these lifeless Waveforms into useful sounds.
And there will also be a lot more Waveforms to play with. If you created any interesting AMS files that you would like to share with the world, feel free to send it to us or post it as a reply.
The first pack contains 4 Waveforms which are available at 128 different note frequencies. Each file for a waveform has slightly different harmonics.
We also included a few Simpler presets which you may find unpleasant sounding when played in higher tones. That nasty sound you hear is Aliasing and the presets are examples for the upcoming article on the subject.
Live 8.1 is a minimum requirement. The Waveforms can be loaded into Simpler, Sampler and Operator.
